About the Museums briefing sessions:
From 1October 2011 Arts Council England will be taking over some of the functions currently held by the Museums Libraries and Archives Council (MLA). To prepare for this change we are holding briefing sessions in Plymouth, Birmingham, Brighton, Cambridge, London, Manchester and Newcastle over two weeks commencing 12 September 2011.
One focus of the briefings will be to explain the application process for the major grant strand of Renaissance, discuss the programme in detail and provide applicants with guidance on how to apply for funding. Furthermore, we will be discussing the companion document to Achieving great art for everyone; revisiting Arts Council England’s strategic goals and setting out how museums and libraries can be reflected in our mission between 2012 and 2015.
Who should attend?
This briefing event is suitable for delegates working in senior roles within the museums sector in England. It may also appeal to those working as cultural contacts within Local Authorities.
Please note that places on this briefing event are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis and only one place per organisation can be booked.
